In exactly one month, the people of Washington will be given the opportunity to make sure that Referendum 71 is passed and that all families are treated equally under the law. In order to make sure that you’ll be able to make your voice heard on election day, please make sure that you’re not only a registered voter, but that your ballot reaches you. Take action by October 5th!
If you aren’t registered to vote or your address isn’t current or correct, it’s going to be almost impossible to vote come election time. It’s a good thing that Washington is one of the only states in the country where you can check your voter registration online. You can register to vote or update your address, right from the comfort of your own computer. It just takes a minute.
The deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration online is October 5th. If you miss the deadline, please go in person to register at your local auditor’s office by October 26th.
Your vote is critical, especially in this off-year election when voter turn out is likely to be low. We need to put an end to discrimination against our families and send out a message that we deserve to be valued equally under the law.
After updating your information, please remind everyone you know in Washington who supports saving the domestic partnership law. We need to make sure that we get everyone out to vote.
Washington families are counting on you. Together we can Approve Referendum 71.
